AFRICAN National Congress presidential hopeful Cyril Ramaphosa has named Mpumalanga chairperson and possible king maker David Mabuza as his treasurer heading to December’s elective conference.
The list which has been leaked to the media has Lindiwe Sisulu as Ramaphosa’s deputy, Gwede Mantashe as Chairperson, Senzo Mchunu as Secretary General and Zingisa Losi as the deputy Secretary General.
The list also sees his rival Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma included in his 80 member National Executive Committee. The pair are expected to tassel for the top position in December when the party elects President Jacob Zuma’s successor.
Other names on the list include Jackson Mthembu, Joel Netshitenze, Seaparo Sekoati, Tito Mboweni and Paul Mashatile.
The list has numerous omissions of people seen as Zuma’s allies such minister of energy David Mahlobo.
