AT LEAST nine people have been killed on the roads in Limpopo since the start of the weekend.
Police spokesperson Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe said The first accident happened on Friday night at Mukula village in Vhembe when two sedans collided head on following unsafe overtaking and two people died on impact.
“In another accident, four people died at Ximoxoni village when a truck collided with a light delivery vehicle. Three men and one woman died on in impact while one sustained critical injuries. Two people sustained serious injuries while six sustained minor injuries,” he said.
Two other people were killed in Seshego outside Polokwane when the sedan in which they were travelling lost control and overturned.
“The driver and another passenger sustained serious injuries. A 35 year old male driver died when a sedan and a bakkie collided head on at Mohodi Ga-Manthata near Dendron. A driver from the sedan and a passenger sustained serious injuries,” he said.
