ANC president Jacob Zuma is expected to condemn factionalism during the party’s provincial 105th years celebration in Burgersfort on Sunday.
The celebration will also be used to reflect on the life of the late ANC stalwart and former president O.R Tambo who always preached unity within the party.
Zuma is expected to speak against factionalism and corruption which has led many of the municipalities in the province to the brink of collapse.
The 105th celebration come at a time when the party’s structures in the province were preparing to hold elective conferences ahead of the national conferences next month.
In a statement, the Limpopo ANC said: “This year will signal the re-emergence of a stronger ANC at branch and regional level . Four of our five regions are going to regional conferences. We are using this as an opportunity to re-build our structures and strengthen the movement.
“Branches are already holding BGM’s and we anticipate that by early March, all four Regions will have gone to conferences.”
